LS116 light transmittance meter is used for measure percentage of light transmitted 

through transparent material. This meter is self-contained light sources and self 

-calibration. No manual adjustment is needed.

II: Operation 

1．Parameter setting 

 In the state of powering off, long press “ " to enter into the setting mode 

 AUTO OFF : ON/OFF 

Short press “ ” to choose ON/OFF 

If ON, the instrument will automatically power off in 3 minutes after no 

operation. 

If OFF, the instrument must be shut down manually and not automatically 

powered off. 

Short press " " to confirm the setting and enters into measurement mode. 

2．Power on/off 

 Short press " " key to power the instrument on/off 

3. “ ” key 

Under the measurement mode, short press " " to hold all data on LCD, which 

will display the icon "HOLD" and save the current data to historical record. short 

press " " again to release the hold mode and the icon "HOLD" disappears. 

4. “ ” key 

- Short press “ ” to look through the “Record group”, include the maximum, 

minimum, average value and nine history hold value. 

- Long press the“ ” to clear all the record data. 

III: Measurement 

1. Field measurement 

Step1: Align two probes (the light source probe and the detector probe) together, 

switch on, wait for the meter displays 100%. 

Step2: Clamp the testing sample with the light source probe and the detector 

probe,Transmission value of the testing sample will display on the LCD. 

2. “Pedestal” measurement 

 Step1: Put two probes (the light source probe and the detector probe) into the 

pedestal. switch on, wait for the meter displays 100%. 

Step2: Inert the testing sample into the “opening” of pedestal, transmission value of 

the testing sample will display on the LCD.
